The atlatl (spear thrower) is made from Red Oak, and is thirteen inches long. With practice, it can hurl a dart 40 yards or more. Darts are made from wood shafts four feet long and are fitted with field points. They are fletched with natural tukey feathers. Instructions are included.   This is one of the most primitive weapons known to mankind.  Master it and it is quite possible to bring down small game.
